A Dark Cloud

The day was sunny.
There is
A dark, sinister cloud
visible on the horizon.

It was not
there before

But now
it captures all my focus.

I am fixed
on the dark cloud.

The day is sunny.
But I only see
that dark, sinister cloud
making my stomach churn.

The day
is hot.

The cloud,
has rain.

But I do not
have a place for shelter.

The day will be cloudy.
And with the clouds
come rain
and thunder.

That time
is now.

The rain
has come.

The sky is filled
With thunder and lightning.

The day is sunny.
